CLEMSON, S.C. – Duke concluded action at the 2025 ACC Rowing Championship Saturday afternoon on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C. The Blue Devils collected 89 points throughout the two-day regatta to finish fifth in the team standings.
Strong performances from Lena Mills and Chloe Zollman earned the junior duo All-ACC third team and second team honors, respectively. Mills garnered all-conference honors for the second time in her Blue Devil career while Zollman earned recognition for the first time.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Duke's Third Varsity Eight posted the winning-time of 6:38.475 in the petite final to open the second day of racing. The Blue Devils cruised past the crews from SMU and No. 22 Clemson by 4.807 and 8.570 seconds, respectively.
The Blue Devils' Second Varsity Four and Varsity Four boats followed with back-to-back fifth-place finishes in their respective grand final races. The Second Varsity Four finished in 7:13.094 while the Varsity Four crossed the line in 7:05.934.
In the grand final of the Second Varsity Eight race, the Blue Devils recorded a time of 6:23.517, just 2.190 seconds behind the third-seeded crew from Virginia that claimed bronze.
The Varsity Eight closed out the championship with a fifth-place finish in the grand final, clocking a time of 6:20.507.
