DURHAM, N.C. – Matchups for the 2025 Players Era Women's Championship were unveiled Tuesday with the Duke women's basketball team slated to square off against South Carolina, while UCLA gears up to battle Texas.
The women's event, which is slated to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada during Thanksgiving week, tips off Nov. 26 with a game one showdown between the Bruins and Longhorns at 2 p.m. ET, with game two – a 2025 Elite Eight rematch between the Blue Devils and Gamecocks – set for a 4:30 p.m. ET start time. Winners of the two games will battle it out in the inaugural Players Era Women's Championship title game Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. ET, with the other squads squaring off in the third-place game (10:30 p.m. ET).
Fresh off an incredible 2024-25 campaign that saw the Blue Devils go 29-8 overall en route to winning their ninth ACC Tournament title and making their 12th Elite Eight appearance, Duke returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from a season ago including All-ACC performers
Jadyn Donovan,
Toby Fournier and
Ashlon Jackson. The Blue Devils also welcome the nation's No. 4 freshman
Emilee Skinner into the fold, as head coach
Kara Lawson enters her sixth season leading the program.
The Blue Devils and Gamecocks have played 11 times over the history of the respective programs, with South Carolina holding a 9-2 advantage.
Game locations and TV network designations for the Players Era Women's Championship will be announced at a later date.
