DURHAM, N.C. – Ahead of her senior campaign,
Lena Mills earned a spot on the 2026 Preseason ACC Rowing Watch List, the conference office announced Wednesday.
The list consists of one student-athlete from each program, nominated by their respective schools. The ACC is the only conference with a preseason rowing watch list.
She becomes the second two-time Preseason ACC Watch List honoree in league history after being named to the list last season.Â
The Lymington, England native has been a consistent member of Duke's Varsity Eight lineup for two straight seasons, seeing action in all five regattas last year. She was part of the V8 lineup that placed second in their final race at the Lake Wheeler Invitational to help the Blue Devils finish second overall in the team standings. Mills also guided the V8 to a fifth-place finish in its grand final race at the 2025 ACC Championships in Clemson, S.C.
She earned All-ACC accolades for her efforts after helping the team to a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championships on Lake Hartwell. Mills collected all-conference honors for the second time in her career after picking up a third team nod.
Mills was one of the 57 student-athletes selected to the 2025 Pocock Division I All-America teams, earning honorable mention recognition for the second time in her career.
The 2026 season officially gets underway with the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, hosted by Louisville, Mar. 14-15 on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
