QUICK HITS
- Duke hosts Gardner-Webb in the final non-conference game before ACC play begins on Friday, March 6.
- Jordan Regulski is projected to make his third consecutive Tuesday start. The freshman threw 2.2 innings at UNCW on Feb. 24, allowing three runs but only one earned. The Blue Devils rallied in that contest, winning 6-3 on the road.
- In its most recent series, Duke once against secured three wins during a four-game weekend series, this time against Princeton. The Blue Devils won the first three games of the weekend before dropping the series finale, 8-7. Cider Canon hit four home runs over the weekend to highlight Duke's offensive production.
- Canon, a highly anticipated transfer from Davidson, leads Duke's qualified hitters in OPS (1.526), average (.452), hits (19), home runs (6) and RBI (21). The junior is also 9-for-10 on stolen base attempts.
- Kaden Smith made his Duke debut over the weekend, playing in two games after missing the first 12 games of the 2026 campaign due to injury. Smith led all of Division I in RBI last season at Charleston Southern, with 79 across 50 games played. The graduate student made an immediate impact for Duke, hitting his first Blue Devil home run in Sunday's contest.
- Second baseman RJ Hamilton also logged a milestone home run, hitting the first of his career in the 8-7 loss on March 1. After playing in only 13 games at Vanderbilt, all as a sophomore after missing his freshman season due to injury, Hamilton has been a steady presence on offense and defense for the Blue Devils -- posting the second-most RBI on the team, with 15, and registering a perfect fielding percentage through the first 14 games.
- Duke has broken ground on the David Koch Jr. Player Performance Center, the program announced on Feb. 26. The 8,000 square foot facility, designed by EwingCole and built by LeChase Construction Services, will feature a pitching lab, hitting lab, and training lab, with direct access to Jack Coombs Field. Duke student-athletes will be able to utilize several developmental technologies, including Trajekt, iPitch, NewtForce, Trackman and KinaTrax.
- Duke announced the hire of Mike Salvino as the program's general manager on Feb. 23. Salvino steps into the role with a goal of building championship teams while also mentoring student-athletes on how to grow their personal brands and prepare for professional careers beyond the game.
