DURHAM, N.C. - Former Duke defensive tackle Aaron Hall has agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers to join the NFL organization as an undrafted free agent.
Hall, a 6-4, 290-pound product of Durham, North Carolina, served as a team captain in 2024 and 2025, earning Third Team All-ACC accolades in 2025. The 2024 Academic All-ACC selection helped Duke to a program-record 35 wins over four seasons, four bowl game appearances (2022 Military Bowl, 2023 76 Birmingham Bowl, 2024 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and 2025 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl), three bowl victories and Duke's first outright ACC championship since 1962.Â
In 53 career games (26 starts), Hall registered 121 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks, one forced fumble, four pass breakups and 13 quarterback pressures. He registered at least one tackle in 45 games, three or more in 21 contests and a career-best six against Virginia in 2023. He notched 1.0 or more TFL on 17 occasions with a career-high 1.5 versus Elon in 2024 and 2025.Â
In Hall's final season he received the team's Micah Harris Trinity Teammate Award, bestowed annually to the member of the Duke football program who displays the highest teammate qualities such as inspiration, unselfishness and commitment to the team. The All-ACC selection started all 14 games, recording 44 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and four quarterback pressures. He booked four or more tackles on six occasions and a year-high five versus Elon in the season opener, Virginia in the ACC Championship Game and Arizona State in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. In Duke's final two victories, the ACC Championship Game and Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Hall combined for 10 tackles with 2.0 TFL. In helping the Blue Devils complete a comeback victory at North Carolina, Hall sacked Gio Lopez on third-and-18 from the UNC 30-yard line with 7:24 remaining, forcing a Tar Heel punt that set up Duke's go-ahead touchdown.Â
Hall received Honorable Mention All-ACC and Academic All-ACC accolades in 2024, when he started all 13 games. He recorded 41 tackles, 8.0 TFL, 3.5 sacks, two pass breakups and six quarterback pressures. He registered at least 0.5 tackles for loss in 10 of 13 games and booked 1.0 or more TFL five times with a year-best 1.5 versus Elon. His sack at Georgia Tech was its first of the season surrendered and one of just nine allowed by the Yellow Jackets in 2024.
In 2023, Hall experienced action in all 13 games, booking 26 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one caused fumble, two pass breakups and three quarterback pressures. The season prior, Hall saw action in 10 games and carded five tackles, 0.5 TFL and 0.5 sack. As a true freshman in 2021, Hall was on the field in three games, compiling five tackles and 1.0 TFL.Â
Hall graduated from Duke in May 2025Â with a degree in psychology and minor in African & African American studies. Â
