DURHAM, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) held its annual ITA Kickoff Weekend draft Thursday, with Duke women's tennis named as one of 14 host sites selected. The weekend will take place Jan. 23-24, 2027, inside the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
Heading to Durham for the event will be No. 2 seed Washington, No. 3 seed Maryland and No. 4 seed Dartmouth.
It will mark the 18th time Duke has hosted the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Durham, and the Blue Devils hold a 30-3 ledger in those contests. All teams will be competing to advance to the 2027 National Team Indoor Championship.
Coming off a 20-8 record last season and advancing to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16, head coach
Jamie Ashworth and the Blue Devils return all five starters, highlighted by two-time All-America selection
Irina Balus.
