BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Duke's
Isaiah Evans and
Maliq Brown were selected in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft on Wednesday night at Barclays Center, giving the Blue Devils three picks over the two-day event.
Evans was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 33rd overall pick before his draft rights were traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brown followed with the 44th overall selection by the San Antonio Spurs.
Evans and Brown join six former Duke teammates selected over the past two NBA Drafts, including
Cameron Boozer, who went No. 3 overall to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night.
Evans became the third Blue Devil selected by Brooklyn, following
Dariq Whitehead (22nd overall in 2023) and
Mason Plumlee (26th overall in 2013).
Brown became the fifth Duke player drafted by San Antonio, alongside
Tre Jones (41st overall in 2020), current Duke associate head coach
Chris Carrawell (41st overall in 2000),
Johnny Dawkins (10th overall in 1986) and
Gene Banks (28th overall in 1981).
Duke head coach
Jon Scheyer has now produced 12 NBA Draft selections in his first four seasons at the helm, more than any other program during that span. Since joining Duke's coaching staff in 2013-14, Scheyer has helped develop 38 NBA Draft selections, including 27 first-round picks.
Duke's 119 all-time NBA Draft selections rank among the most in college basketball history and make the Blue Devils one of just four programs to surpass the 100-pick milestone. In the past 10 years, Duke leads the nation with 32 selections.
