DURHAM, N.C. – A standout on the lacrosse field and in the classroom, Duke women's lacrosse redshirt junior
Eva Pronti was dubbed the 2026 ACC Women's Lacrosse Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year to headline the All-ACC Academic Team announced Thursday afternoon. Overall, 18 Blue Devils were recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the 2026 season.
Pronti, who shares the honor with Stanford's Aliya Polisky, becomes just the second Duke women's lacrosse player all-time and the first since Carolyn Davis in 2008 to earn ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year recognition.
In addition to Pronti,

A recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in political science (concentration in political economy) and a certificate in markets and management studies, Pronti has racked up an array of athletic and academic honors this spring and was most recently named an Academic All-District honoree by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The Rochester, New York, standout has also garnered Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Third Team All-America, Inside Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention, IWLCA All-South Region First Team, All-ACC First Team and Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media Third Team All-America honors. A three-time Dean's List with distinction honoree, Pronti graduated with a cumulative 3.95 grade point average and has earned All-ACC Academic accolades every year of her Duke career.
On the field, the Pronti netted 19 goals and a team-best 51 assists to pace the squad with a total of 70 points. Her 51 helpers during the year broke her own Duke single-season mark she had previously set in 2025, while ranking second in the ACC and 13th in the NCAA. Pronti produced 12 multi-assist games on the year, including nine contests with three or more helpers. On the scoring front, she posted six multi-goal outings, headlined by her first career hat trick against Boston College.
During her career as a Blue Devil, Pronti has dished 109 assists – third all-time in program lore – and scored 36 goals for 145 career points. She is just the third Duke player in program history to reach 100 career dimes and sits seven assists away from No. 2 all-time on the program charts. Pronti returns to Duke in 2026-27 for her final season of lacrosse, while also pursuing her master's degree in applied ethics and policy.
The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award was established in September 2007 to be awarded annually to the top junior or senior student-athlete in their respective sports. To earn All-ACC Academic Team accolades, a student-athlete must be an undergraduate who has been enrolled at their current institution for at least one academic year, earned a cumulative GPA of 3.00, including a 3.00 GPA in the most recent two semesters, and competed in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
