DURHAM, N.C.—Duke cross country head coach
Kevin Jermyn has announced the 2026 schedule that includes six racing dates over a span of two months.
The Blue Devils open their season Sept. 18 at the Adidas XC Challenge at the WakeMed Soccer Park Cross Country Course in Cary, North Carolina. The men are slated to go off first for a 6k race with the women to follow on a 5k course.
Duke will get a trio of 6k and 8k women's and men's races to follow, starting with the Meadows Challenge Sept. 25 in Princeton, New Jersey. The Blue Devils run again the following week at the Richmond Invitational before taking a week off from racing.
The teams get a preview of the NCAA Championship course Oct. 16 at the NCAA Division I Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Indiana. A second group of Blue Devils will head to Spartanburg, South Carolina, for the Upstate Invitational Oct. 17. That course also will serve as the host of the NCAA Southeast Regional Nov. 13.
Duke begins postseason competition Oct. 30 at the ACC Championships hosted by Virginia Tech on the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course. The Blue Devil women finished sixth a year ago while the men came in ninth of 17 teams.
Two weeks later the Blue Devils toe the line at the NCAA Southeast Regionals with hopes of advancing to the NCAA Championships Nov. 21.
