Duke to Compete in 2027 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke softball is set to compete in the 2027 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge as the full tournament schedule was announced by host Triple Crown Sports Wednesday afternoon. The event will run Feb. 16-20 at the Nancy Almaraz Stadium in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Duke is one of five teams to take part in the second session of the event, which features three programs that earned bids to 2026 NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils are joined by Miami University, Tarleton State, UConn and Cal State Fullerton.
The Blue Devils return to Puerto Vallarta for the third time in program history and the first time since 2024. In their last appearance in the tournament, the Blue Devils went 4-1 overall with wins over Iowa State, No. 18 Nebraska and Long Beach State. Duke softball alum Claire Davidson and current assistant coach Jala Wright were recognized for their overall performances on the weekend through being named to the All-Tournament team.
Tickets for the 2027 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge can also be purchased in advance here. Teams and fans will be hosted at the oceanside Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center, the official host hotel just a few blocks from the field.
