GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – The preseason sixth-ranked Duke women's golf program will open the 2026-27 campaign this week as the Blue Devils compete in the fifth annual Folds of Honor Collegiate, which will be held at the Jack Nicklaus-designed American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven Sept. 7-9.
Fans will be able to follow the action live on Golf Channel all three days. On Monday and Tuesday, coverage will be from 9:30 a.m., to 12:30 p.m., and 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday's action will be aired from 11:30 a.m., to 2:30 p.m., and 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Seeing action in the season-opening event will be Arizona, Duke, Findlay, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, U.S. Naval Academy, North Carolina A&T, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.
Entering his 43rd season as the head coach at Duke, Dan Brooks will travel a lineup that includes senior Katie Li, junior Carla De Troia, sophomore Rianne Malixi, freshman Mia Hammond and freshman Martina Navarro Navarro.
Brooks and the Blue Devils are coming off a season in which Duke advanced to the quarterfinals of match play at the NCAA Championship. Malixi earned Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) National Freshman of the Year honors for her impressive rookie campaign.
Malixi, who hails from Manila, Philippines, has received a pair of preseason All-America accolades from Golf Channel and Golfweek. Hammond, a rookie from New Albany, Ohio, has been tabbed a Golfweek Freshman to Watch heading into the 2026-27 season.
It will mark the first time in program history that Duke has competed in the Folds of Honor Collegiate.
Duke will tee off beginning at 7:30 a.m., Monday along with Michigan State and the U.S. Naval Academy.
The Folds of Honor Collegiate raises awareness and funds for Folds of Honor and its mission to provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disabled military and first responders. Each college team will also carry an Honor Bag tag during the Collegiate, representing the Folds of Honor recipients at each of their schools since the inception of Folds of Honor.
