PRIOR TO DUKE: Lettered four seasons at Rye County under coach John Calandros … over final three seasons, compiled 2,600+ rushing yards and 48 TDs ... three-time all-league and two-time all-county and all-state selection ... tabbed Rye County's athlete of the year as a senior ... helped the Wildcats to three state playoff appearances, including a state championship game showing during junior year ... also lettered for four years in basketball and track & field (100 meters).
PERSONAL: Son of Terry and Denise … father lettered one season in football at Harvard University (1985) … aunt, Kelly Denson, lettered four seasons in track & field at the University of Pennsylvania (1988-89-90-91) and was a team captain in 1991.
