Binuk Kodituwakkujoined the Duke Football staff in June 2023 and serves as the chief strategy officer.
In this role, he oversees the program's Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) strategy, analytics and strategic roster construction and recruiting efforts. Kodituwakku optimizes Duke Football's revenue sharing arrangements through data-driven decision making and value-based assessments.
Prior to his time in Durham, Kodituwakku, a native of Australia, was the head of analytics and football innovation for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League. In this role, he led the digital transformation strategy of football department and formulated roster strategy using analytical models to identify optimal trade timing and player demographics. He managed the salary cap of $15 million each year.
He also served as the founder and principal consultant for Above Replacement Consulting, providing data analytics and strategy consulting services on roster construction to private equity firms that owned soccer teams and teams in Australian rugby and international cricket.
Kodituwakku graduated from the University of Western Australia with dual bachelor’s degrees in law and commerce. He earned his MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business.
