Dorian Jackson joined the Duke Athletics staff in 2020 and currently serves as the Director of the Future Initiative. In this role, he focuses on connecting former student-athletes with Duke, harnessing their experiences as professional development resources for current student-athletes. Additionally, Jackson spearheads the professional development programming for Duke’s current student-athletes.
Jackson's journey at Duke began as a ticket sales and service representative with LEARFIELD Amplify during the 2020-21 season. He returned in 2022 as the Assistant Director of the Football Future Initiative.
Prior to Duke, Jackson spent five years at East Carolina University, including three with the Pirates’ football staff. His roles included serving as an Assistant Director of Player Personnel and later as an Assistant Director of Football Operations.
Jackson's career in college sports began at East Carolina, where he was the Director of Creative Services from 2015-16. He started in this role in June 2015, following two years at Old Dominion University, his alma mater, where he worked in creative services and as a marketing assistant.
A Virginia native, Jackson was a three-year letterwinner on the Old Dominion football team, earning Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic Team honors as a senior. He graduated from Old Dominion with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in marketing and completed his master's degree at the same institution in 2013. Additionally, Jackson is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
