Michael Zerbe joined the Duke Football in January, 2024 and serves as the defensive director of scouting.
Prior to his time in Durham, Zerbe spent three seasons (2021-22-23) on staff at his alma mater Florida State University, where he served as a player personnel assistant his first year (2021) before being elevated to an assistant director of player personnel role his final two seasons (2022-23). In 2023, Zerbe was part of a Florida State program that went 12-0 in the regular season, defeated Louisville 16-6 in the ACC Championship game and earned a Capital One Orange Bowl trip.
Zerbe graduated from Florida State with a bachelor’s degree in sport management in May, 2020. While working toward his degree, Zerbe was a student equipment manager for two years for the Seminoles (2018-20) and a student recruiting assistant from 2020-21. He also obtained his master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in marketing from the university in May, 2022.
