Tre'Shon Devones joined the Duke Football staff in March 2026 and serves as the defensive director of scouting.Â
Devones spent the 2025 season serving as a scouting assistant at Michigan State. With the Spartans, he prepared cutups and evaluations on prospects, working with both the offensive and defensive evaluations. He collaborated with position coaches to analyze roster composition, identify needs and provide feedback for future recruiting decisions.Â
Before joining the coaching ranks, Devones lettered one season (2024) as a cornerback at Duke after earning four (2019-20-22-23) at Rce, earning Academic All-ACC honors in 2024. In 42 career games (20 starts), he registered 81 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, one caused fumble, two fumble recoveries and 14 pass breakups. He recorded two or more tackles on 20 occasions, including a career-high eight against Texas State in the 2023 First Responder Bowl. He was also a three-time Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection (2021-22-23).
Devones graduated from Rice in May 2024 with a degree in sports management.
