- Contributed key minutes off the bench, due to foul trouble for Cooper Flagg, in Duke’s comeback win at Louisville (12/8) -- Duke went on an 18-2 run when Gillis entered the game after Flagg’s fourth foul halfway through the second half
- Led the team with five assists against UIW (12/10), matching a career high
- Reached double-figures with 10 points against Virginia Tech (12/31) in 10 minutes of play
- Scored 12 points on four three-pointers against Miami (1/14), setting new season highs for points, three-pointers and minutes played (21) in the first game without Maliq Brown due to his injury
- Collected six rebounds at Boston College (1/18), the most for him a Duke uniform, while logging 19 minutes off the bench
- A steadying presence for Duke at Wake Forest (1/25), playing 23 minutes with three three-pointers and 11 total points
