Jeremy Loomis enters his first season as assistant coach with the Blue Devils. Loomis comes to Duke from the University of Maryland after serving as head coach of the men's tennis program for the past five years.
Since 1997, Loomis acted as the assistant coach of the women's tennis team and as associate head coach of the men's program at Maryland under Jim Laitta.
Loomis was a four-year letterwinner at Maryland, playing both the No. 1 singles and doubles positions. He was named team MVP his season of 1993. He graduated from Maryland in 1993 with a degree in English and then completed his master's degree in exercise physiology from Miami University of Ohio in 1995.
After graduating from Maryland, Loomis competed on the pro tour and achieved a world ranking in doubles. He is currently completing his MBA.
