Andrew Brandt joined the Duke Athletics staff in 2021 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Major Gifts. He plans, coordinates and implements fundraising strategies for mid-Atlantic Iron Dukes as well as fundraising for Women’s Lacrosse, Softball and Rowing.
Prior to his current role, he has worked as Assistant Director of Development at the University of Connecticut, where he focused on fundraising for the annual fund, major gifts and the Track and Field programs. He oversaw a fundraising effort for T&F that raised over $1.2M in pledges and was a part of the Major Gifts team that raised over $21M in their best year. Prior to UConn, Brandt spent time in the Ram Athletic Fund at VCU and within Villanova’s Athletics ticket office.
A native of Broomall, PA, Brandt graduated from Ithaca College in 2016 with a degree in Sports Management where he also achieved All-American honors with the Men’s Track and Field Team (high jump). He then earned his Master’s in Sports Leadership at the VCU Center for Sports Leadership.
