Becca Wilusz joined the Duke Athletics staff in April 2013 and serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics/Game Operations and Championships. She was the Director of Game Operations and Championships prior to her promotion in July 2021.
In this capacity, Wilusz has oversight responsibilities for varsity game day operations and ACC & NCAA championship operations. Wilusz serves as the primary game operations manager for football and track & field.
In addition to game operations, Wilusz is a Duke Athletics lead in planning and execution of stadium safety and security operations. In 2017, Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium earned a Facility of Merit Award from The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security. This award recognizes athletic facilities that perform above and beyond normal operations to demonstrate an innovative approach to enhancing safety and security. In 2018, Wilusz was recognized as an Industry Leader Under 40 by The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security. This award recognizes a young professional of the sports and security field who has, over the past year, demonstrated outstanding leadership in addressing safety/security issues within their venue(s) and set example for others to follow.
Wilusz is an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) and Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA). Wilusz completed the IAVM Academy for Venue Safety and Security (AVSS) in 2018 and will begin serving as faculty for the academy in 2019.
A multiple degree graduate of Duke University, Wilusz earned a B.S.E. in biomedical and mechanical engineering with a minor in history in 2007, a M.S. in biomedical engineering in 2011, and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering in 2013.
Wilusz is originally from East Windsor, N.J. and currently resides in Durham, N.C.
