Becca Wilusz joined the Duke Athletics staff in April 2013 and serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics/Game Operations &Â Championships. Prior to her promotion in July 2021, she served as the Director of Game Operations &Â Championships.
Wilusz oversees varsity game day operations and ACC and NCAA championship operations. She serves as the primary game operations manager for football and track &Â field and plays a leading role in the planning and execution of stadium safety and security operations for Duke Athletics.
In 2017, Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium earned the Facility of Merit Award from the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4), recognizing an innovative approach to enhancing venue safety and security. Wilusz was recognized by NCS4 as an Industry Leader Under 40 in 2018 for her leadership in addressing venue safety and security issues.
Wilusz is an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers, the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security and the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association. She completed the International Association of Venue Managers Academy for Venue Safety and Security in 2018 and later served on the academy's faculty.
A native of East Windsor, N.J., Wilusz is a three-time graduate of Duke, earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in biomedical and mechanical engineering with a minor in history in 2007, a Master of Science in biomedical engineering in 2011 and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering in 2013.
