Billy Zarzour joined the Duke Athletics staff in 2013 and currently serves as the Director of Major Gifts. He plans, coordinates and implements strategies to steward donors in their philanthropy toward Duke Athletics.
Prior to his current role, he has worked as Assistant Director of Major Gifts, Assistant Director of the Iron Dukes/Varsity Club, Coordinator of Administrative Operations, and the Iron Dukes Varsity Club Assistant. Zarzour has worked with Annual Fund, Sport Specific, and Major Gifts donors during his time with the Iron Dukes. He worked on the Building Champions Campaign, which exceeded the $250M goal by raising $341M. The campaign had three primary goals, for operating, facilities, and endowment, and exceeded all three objectives. Â
A native of Durham, N.C., Zarzour graduated from High Point University in 2013 with a degree in Journalism, and earned his Masters in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from Western Kentucky University in 2018. He and his wife Sasha have two boys, Bobby and Henry, and currently reside in Durham.
