Darby Lynn Nevola joined the Blue Devils staff in February of 2016, and currently serves as the Associate Director of Iron Dukes Communications. Prior to her current role, Darby served as the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations and Special Assistant to the Vice President and Director of Athletics, where she worked primarily with Duke Vice President and Director of Athletics, Kevin White, and then Chief of Staff, Nina King.
Nevola graduated from Northwestern University in 2011. While at Northwestern, Nevola was a four-year student-athlete on the women's lacrosse team, where she won three National Championships and earned Academic All-America and Academic All-Big Ten accolades. In her time as a student-athlete she served as President of Northwestern’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and representative to the Big Ten SAAC.
After graduation, Nevola worked in New York, N.Y., at a Digital Media Firm before becoming the Vice President of Operations at Dynamic Sports Management, a youth sports management company in Melville, N.Y.
Nevola currently resides in Durham with husband, JR, a high school math teacher for Durham Public Schools. The couple has two children, Addy and Trey.
