Rachael Bacchus joined Duke Athletics in July 2025 and serves as the Director of Business Development for Women’s Basketball.
In her role, Bacchus leads strategic efforts focused on revenue generation, NIL advancement, donor engagement and brand development for the program. She serves as a key advisor to the head coach and sport administrator while collaborating across departments to elevate the national profile of Duke women’s basketball. Her responsibilities include driving major gift cultivation, premium donor experience, corporate partnership development and NIL strategy alignment. Bacchus also plays a central role in business planning, roster valuation frameworks and integrating operational systems that support long-term program growth.
Prior to her arrival at Duke, Bacchus served as General Manager for NIL at Arizona State University through Altius Sports Partners, where she generated more than $1.5 million in new revenue streams and supported NIL-related programming, recruitment and donor engagement efforts across multiple sports. She previously held legal and NIL-focused roles with Thomas Mitchell & Associates and served as Associate Director of Advancement at the University of Central Florida Foundation. She has also been an adjunct professor in Northeastern University’s Master of Sports Leadership program since 2017.
Bacchus earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2011 and holds a bachelor’s degree in pre-law studies from the University of Central Florida.
