I chose Duke because of the amazing opportunities Duke has to offer.
Duke is known for its excellence in both academics and athletics. The energy and enthusiasm here is what motivates you to do your best and work hard.
I chose Duke to be part of the first tennis team at Duke to win a national championship. I wanted to be part of a team where I felt I could make a difference by bettering the program for my team and beyond that for future Blue Devil teams.
College provides an opportunity for striking a balance between school, social life, and athletics.
There are few universities which can match Duke's ability to offer excellence in those areas and that was what caught my eye, not to mention the beautiful campus.
I came to Duke three years ago because it had a great balance of athletics and academics. What was also important to me was that I would have the opportunity, while I was here, to make history.
The Duke tennis program has never won a team NCAA title and part of my decision to come here was that I wanted to be a part of the team that does.
I obviously chose Duke for the great tennis program. The team has had tremendous results for the last decade.
Also, Duke has a great reputation for amazing academics. Duke also has, in my mind, the most beautiful campus in the nation which was an important aspect in selecting which college I would attend.
Besides the obviously unbelievable combination of academics and athletics, I chose to attend Duke because of the people.
The students have come here from all-around the world making Duke a fantastic place to make friends and broaden your horizons.
There are also seven unbelievable women here that I came for...my teammates! GO DUKE!
After I visited Duke and several of the other top colleges in the nation, it didn't take long for me to decide that Duke was the school for me.
Not only was I aware of its strength in the academic arena, but also in athletics, especially for women's collegiate tennis.
But after I visited Duke, I knew that this school would provide me with the best opportunities for my future and that it was like home to me.
I chose Duke because it had the best combination of academics and tennis in the nation. It also has the nicest campus in this country.
I chose Duke because I wanted to come to a smaller academically challenging school which gave scholarships and had a talented tennis team. I was able to visit the school for the first time on my recruiting trip. While here, I was impressed with the beauty of the campus and the old gothic buildings; especially the new indoor tennis center. In addition, I was impressed with the work ethic and enthusiasm of both the coaches as well as the team to make everyone improve.
