The duo of Adams/Cargill knocked off North Carolina's Bairos/Neibling (8-5), while Miller/Johnson picked up a victory over UNC's Mejia/Rotondi (8-6) on Saturday.
In Flight A singles action, Cargill will meet No. 42 ranked Marlene Mejia of North Carolina on Sunday in the finals after Cargill defeated No. 91 Julie Rotondi of North Carolina (3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (3)). Mejia advanced to the finals by defeating Duke's Johnson 7-6 (4), 6-3. Cargill is currently ranked tied for 59th in the ITA rankings. The No. 89 ranked Johnson will battle No. 91 Rotondi for third place on Sunday.
In Flight B singles, Duke's Adams advanced to the finals by defeating Laura James of Virginia (6-4, 6-2) and Caroline Hill of North Carolina (6-4, 6-4) on Saturday. She will take on Kate Pinchbeck of North Carolina in the finals Sunday.
Duke's Ioana Plesu won her first match on Saturday as she knocked off Patty Devlin of Richmond (6-1, 6-0), but fell to UNC Greensboro's Stephanie Wisinski (6-3, 7-5) in the final four of Flight C. Plesu then notched third place with a win over Monika Peets of Richmond as she defaulted due to injury.
All singles matches will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Sunday with the doubles final following at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
