DURHAM, N.C. (June 3) - Megan Miller of the No. 7 ranked Duke women's tennis team has been selected to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-America team. The honor for Miller (Palm City, Fla.) is her first, after recording a 24-15 record as a junior.
Miller played at the No. 1 singles slot and at No. 2 doubles position for the No. 7 ranked Duke women's tennis team. The Blue Devils advanced to the final 16 of the NCAA Championships and finished the season with a 23-6 record.
Miller ended the season with a No. 15 national ranking, after falling in the first round of the NCAA singles competition to UCLA's Annica Cooper (5-7, 4-6). She became only the 14th player at Duke to reach the 100-win mark on May 12 against Winthrop and will head into her final season at Duke with a 101-31 singles record.
She was named the ACC Tournament MVP and to the All-ACC team after posting an undefeated 3-0 record leading Duke to its 13th straight ACC Championship.
