WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The ninth-ranked Duke doubles tandem of Kelly McCain/Hillary Adams fell 8-2 to the 41st-ranked Kentucky team of Jill Buckley/Amy Trefethen on Sunday in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regionals in Winston-Salem, N.C. The loss broke a string of three consecutive wins for the Duke duo.
In singles action, 47th-ranked sophomore Saras Arasu fell 7-6, 7-6 to 39th-ranked Sarah Witten in the quarterfinals.
Duke will next play in the ITA Omni Nationals on Nov. 7-10 and the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Nov. 8-10.
