? Duke improved the overall series with Texas to a 3-1 lead for the Blue Devils.
? With the victory, Duke improved to 9-0 on the season. It marks only the fourth time under Head Coach Gail Goestenkors and fifth time in Duke history the Blue Devils have began the season with a 9-0 mark.
? Duke won its 22nd consecutive game against a non-conference opponent in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Overall, Duke has won 27 straight against non-conference opponents.
? The Blue Devils have now won 30 consecutive games in the month of December, dating back to 2001.
? Sophomore Abby Waner scored double-figures for the ninth straight time this season as she totaled 13 for the game. She also tied a career high with six steals and dished out three assists.
? Alison Bales registered double-figure scoring for the fifth consecutive game with 10 points. She also had four blocks and five rebounds in 26 minutes.
? Duke shot a season-low 38.6 percent from the floor and Texas shot 39.2 percent, which was a season-best against the Blue Devils.
? After collecting 18 steals the last two games, the Blue Devils totaled 18 on Sunday.
? The Blue Devils held a 42-18 points in the paint advantage.
? The announced attendance of 7,016 was a season-best for the Blue Devils.
? Duke hit 19-of-25 free throws in the first half and went on to hit 23-of-30 for the game. The 23 free throws made was the second-most this season. Duke made 25 against Northeastern in the season opener.
? The Blue Devils forced 33 turnovers for Texas marking the sixth time this season Duke has forced 20 or more turnovers and third time with 30 or more turnovers.
? After getting off to excellent starts in the first eight games this season, Duke started off slow on Sunday as the Blue Devils trailed 7-2 early, but came back to take their first lead at 9:22 in the first half (16-15) on a free throw by Alison Bales.
? Lindsey Harding scored double-figures for the third straight game as she totaled 14 points on Sunday. She has totaled 48 points over the last three games. Harding also dished out four assists, pulled down three rebounds and grabbed one steal.
? With her four blocks on the afternoon, senior Alison Bales moved into 22nd place on the NCAA all-time blocks list with 328.
? After not playing in the Vanderbilt game (coaches decision), junior Emily Waner came off the bench to score four points in the first half. She also had one steal and one rebound in five minutes. Waner finished the game with a season-high seven points.
? Coming off scoring 13 points against 11th-ranked Vanderbilt, Wanisha Smith scored 11 points in the first half and went on to finish with a season-high 18 for the game in 25 minutes to lead all Duke scorers. She also pulled down eight rebounds, which tied a career high.
? Sophomore Abby Waner pulled down a season-high five rebounds in the first half to go along with four steals. She went on to finish the game with five boards and a career-high tying six steals.
? After hitting two three-pointers over the first seven games, junior Wanisha Smith has hit treys in two consecutive contests. For the season, she has hit 4-of-17 from downtown.
? Duke closed out the week versus Texas, playing three consecutive ranked opponents, defeating those opponents by an average of 29.2 points.
? Duke will next travel to Cancun, Mexico for the Caribbean Classic from Dec. 19-21. The Blue Devils will take on Bowling Green, SMU and Pittsburgh in consecutive days.
