No. 10 Duke Rolls On Final Day Of Michigan Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The 10th-ranked Duke women's tennis team took three of four singles matches and five of seven doubles matches on the final day of the Michigan Invitational on Sunday.
Duke continued its stellar doubles play, as the fourth-ranked duo of senior Daniela Bercek and freshman Elizabeth Plotkin, the team of junior Tory Zawacki and freshman Amanda Granson, and the senior tandem of Parker Goyer and Kristin Cargill all posted wins on Sunday over No. 29 Michigan. The Blue Devils won nine of 12 doubles matches played on the weekend.
Bercek, Plotkin and Zawacki also were victorious in their singles matches versus No. 52 LSU, as Bercek defeated Nicole Kantor (6-2, 6-1), Plotkin posted a win over Staten Spencer (6-7, 6-2, 1-0) and Zawacki was victorious over Tiffany Tucker (6-1, 6-3). Sophomore Melissa Mang and senior Clelia Deltour also won their singles matches, as Mang defeated Hannah Robinson in three sets (6-3, 4-6, 1-0) and Deltour needed just two to defeat Sloane Mathis (6-0, 6-3).
Duke will next travel to Evanston, Ill., on Jan. 28, where the No. 10 Blue Devils will square off against No. 9 Northwestern at 11 a.m.
