No. 15 Duke Notches 6-1 Victory Over Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 15 Blue Devil women's tennis team improved to 8-3 (3-0 ACC) on Friday night with a 6-1 win over Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Duke swept the doubles point, as the 27th-ranked Duke duo of senior Daniela Berceck and sophomore Melissa Mang defeated Dasha Cherkasov and Lauren Cash, 8-5, at the No. 1 spot, sophomore Jessi Robinson and freshman Amanda Granson combined for a win over Alina Sullivan and Brittany Delaney at No. 2, and senior Kristin Cargill and freshman Elizabeth Plotkin posted an 8-2 victory over Gia Nafarrete and Lana Krasnopolsky at No. 3.
Bercek and Mang are a perfect 10-0 on the season, with all of the tandem's wins coming at the No. 1 position.
Singles action saw Duke take five of six matches, as 106th-ranked Plotkin was victorious at No. 2, Granson notched a win at No. 3, senior Tory Zawacki won her match at No. 4, senior Clelia Deltour won at No. 5, and Robinson posted a win at No. 6.
Fifty-ninth-ranked Mang was defeated at the No. 1 spot by Krasnopolsky, as she lost just her second singles match of the season. Her overall record for the year now stands at 9-2.
The Blue Devils will take on No. 71 Maryland in College Park, Md., on Sunday. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
