DURHAM, N.C. – The United States Under-23 Women's National Team will convene Dec. 14-21 in Sunrise, Fla., with Duke University senior
Natasha Anasi one of 24 players selected to participate in the training camp.
Anasi, a product of Arlington, Texas, helped guide the Blue Devils to their third straight NCAA quarterfinal appearance in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Duke dropped a 3-0 decision at top-seeded Virginia Tech concluding the year with a 9-9-6 mark.
Over her career, Anasi played in 97 contests and started her final 73 straight matches, while leading Duke to 39 shutouts on the defensive end. She collected four career goals and six assists to go along with three game-winning tallies. Her 97 matches played set a new Duke career mark along with fellow senior
Laura Weinberg.
Anasi, one of only two multiple All-America selections in school history, was a 2011 ACC Defensive Player of the Year and Duke's first finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy in 2011.
The U-23 event will run concurrently with a U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team camp and the teams will scrimmage against each other during the week.
