Upcoming Event: Women's Tennis versus ITA Conference Masters Championships on November 6, 2025

DURHAM, N.C. -- Four members of the Duke women's tennis team travel to Pacific Palisades, Calif., to compete in the 2015 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships. The one-week competition begins Saturday, Oct. 3, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 11. Pre-qualifying contests begin Saturday, with qualifying matches starting Oct. 6 and main draw competition getting underway Oct. 8. Singles and doubles finals are scheduled for Oct. 11.
Main draw singles semifinalists, main draw doubles finalists and main draw consolation champions will receive automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Nov. 12-15 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
The Blue Devils are represented at the event by a trio of freshmen, Ellyse Hamlin, Jessica Ho and Kaitlyn McCarthy, as well as senior Beatrice Capra. In singles, Hamlin, Ho and McCarthy begin tournament play in the prequalifying singles draw, while Capra opens singles action in the qualifying draw.
Hamlin is set to face 124th-ranked Alicia Barnett of Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. (ET), while Ho is slated to compete against No. 96 Shannon Hudson of Arkansas at 1:45 (ET). McCarthy rounds out the Blue Devils competing in the prequalifying draw Saturday, taking on Laura Gulbe of Pepperdine at 1:45 p.m. (ET).
Ho and McCarthy return to competition following a stellar weekend of play at the Duke James Bonk Invite. Both Ho and McCarthy recorded 3-0 marks throughout the tournament. Hamlin posted a 1-1 mark to start her college career at Duke.
The pre-qualifying draw is comprised of 64 singles players. A singles player must win three rounds to advance to the qualifying draw, with a total of eight singles players advancing from pre-qualifying play.
Capra and Hamlin also earned a spot in the qualifying draw of the doubles competition.
