Championship Weekend Streak Ends
Duke fell to Ohio State 16-11 in the first round to end its championship weekend appearances streak at eight ... The Blue Devils' eight runs to the final weekend of the season are the second most of any program since 2000 with Syracuse besting Duke by one, while the eight straight are the most consecutive appearances by a team this century ... Head coach
John Danowski is the lone coach in NCAA Division I history to advance to eight consecutive NCAA semifinals in his first eight seasons at the helm. In addition, Duke's three NCAA titles are tied for the second most since 2000 with Syracuse leading the way with four and Virginia with three.
Home Sweet Home for the Blue Devils
Duke will begin the 2016 season looking to restart a home win streak ... Duke's 21-game win streak, spanning from a March 8, 2013 win over Loyola through the March 7, 2015 victory against the Greyhounds, was tied for the longest in program history ... The Blue Devils are 83-12 all-time under Danowski in Durham.
Duke Attack Trio Stands Out

Jack Bruckner,
Justin Guterding and
Case Matheis combined for just 169 points – 41.9 percent of the team's total – in 2015 ... Guterding led the way with 70 points, while Bruckner contributed 60 and Matheis added 39 in an injury-plagued season for the junior ... All three will return in 2016 with a full season of playing together under their belts.
Duke Lacrosse Drew the Fans
Duke brought out the big crowds week in and week out in 2015 ... The Blue Devils played Syracuse in front of 11,408 in the Carrier Dome ... It marked the ninth-largest crowd to witness a regular-season game at the Carrier Dome and the most fans for a Syracuse men's lacrosse game since March 4, 2011 versus Virginia (14,340) ... Nearly 4,000 came to see Duke vs. North Carolina and just under 5,000 fans were in attendance at both Stony Brook and Marquette ... 7,300 fans came to see the ACC Championship game between Duke and Syracuse ... Overall, Duke played in front of an average of nearly 3,000 fans this season.

Myles Jones all joined the century club this season with 100 career points ... Jones' 161 career points are the most by a Duke midfielder in program history ... Jones also etched his name on the single season lists ranking seventh in assists with 37 and 11th in points with 77 ... Freshman
Justin Guterding had a standout rookie campaign at attack with 70 points from 52 goals and 18 assists ... His 52 goals rank ninth in Duke single season history and were five shy of matching Zack Greer's freshman goals record, while the 70 points were tied for 14th at Duke and two short of matching Greer's rookie record ... In his first year at attack, Bruckner finished with 47 goals, which is 14th on the Duke single season list.
Jack Rowe, after sitting behind CJ Costabile and
Brendan Fowler in his first three seasons, stepped up well at the faceoff X ... Rowe took 329 faceoffs overall in 2015 after taking just 49 draws his first three seasons combined ... The senior captain won 54 percent of his restarts overall and won at least 50 percent in 12 of the 18 games.
Kyle Rowe, joining the Blue Devils after a stellar rookie season at Stony Brook, was outstanding at the faceoff X in the final six games of the year ... After off-season knee surgery, Rowe took just 55 faceoffs in the first nine games before taking over as the primary faceoff specialist ... In the final six games of the season, the sophomore took 129 and won 85 of them for a .659 win percentage.

Brian Dailey took his game to a different level in 2015 ... After missing the first six games, Dailey finished with a career-best 46 ground balls, 13 more than he had in 20 games last season ... Dailey's 18 caused turnovers were double what he had last season.
Fowler Debuts Between the Pipes

Danny Fowler made his debut in goal this season ... He started each of the final nine games and averaging 10.88 saves per game, a .500 save percentage and an 11.08 goals against average ... He was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week after making a career-high 18 saves in Duke's 15-8 win over Virginia ... The Wantagh, N.Y., native has made double digit saves in six of his eight starting assignments, including 12 in the ACC semifinal victory over No. 1 Notre Dame.
Danowski Joins 350-Win Club
With a 16-6 win over Mercer,
John Danowski became the fourth lacrosse coach across all three divisions to win at least 350 games ... Dom Starsia of Virginia, Denver's Bill Tierney and Danowski are the lone Division I coaches to reach the benchmark ... He ranks fourth among active coaches in career victories.
