- The Blue Devils are 3-0 in the Jimmy V Classic -- beating Kentucky in 1998 and 2001 and Florida in 2016. Duke has won five straight and six of its last seven at MSG where it owns a 39-18 (.684) record all-time in the World's Most Famous Arena.

- The Blue Devils have out-rebounded eight of their first 10 opponents and are eighth nationally in offensive rebounds (14.6), 10th in rebound margin (+9.9) and 40th in rebounding (40.3). Duke opened the season with a double-digit rebound margin in each of the first six games -- the longest such stretch (at any point in a season) in program history.
- Kyle Filipowski -- the first player all-time to be named ACC Rookie of the Week in each of a season's first four weeks, has scored in double figures in all 10 games. His 15.2 points and 9.3 rebounds lead the team. The versatile 7-footer leads Duke in field goals, rebounds and steals.
- Filipowski's five double-doubles are third most nationally and lead all Division-I freshmen.
- The balanced Blue Devils saw eight different players average at least 8.0 points and 2.0 rebounds over two wins last week, led by Filipowski's 12.5 and Tyrese Proctor's 10.5.

About Iowa
- Duke has won seven of the eight in the all-time series versus Iowa, but the teams have not met since an 80-62 Blue Devil victory in the 2001 ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Chicago.
- Duke defeated Iowa in consecutive NCAA Tournament second round games during the Blue Devils' National Championship runs in 1991 and 1992. The 1991 win, 85-70, came in Minneapolis and the 1992 victory, 75-62, in Greensboro.
- Tuesday is the third of three contests for Iowa against ACC opponents over a span of 12 days -- beating Clemson on Nov. 25, 74-71, and Georgia Tech on Nov. 29, 81-65.
- Iowa is 6-1, averaging 86.4 points per game (8th in NCAA) and owns the second most efficient offense per KenPom.
- Iowa has not played since a Nov. 29 win over Georgia Tech, 81-65, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
- The Hawkeyes lead the nation in assist/turnover ratio (1.97).
- Junior Kris Murray has four double-doubles, including a monster 31-point, 20-rebound in last week's win over Georgia Tech -- the third most boards by a D-I player this season.
Madison Square Garden: Has Seen More Duke Wins Than Any Arena Outside of N.C.
- Tuesday's game at Madison Square Garden marks Duke's 58th game at current MSG, and the Blue Devils are 39-18 (.684) in the venue all-time.
- Duke has won five straight and six of its last seven at the World's Most Famous Arena.
- Tuesday's game is head coach Jon Scheyer's 25th at MSG as both a Duke player and assistant coach (19-5).
- Duke is 45-25 in all versions of MSG, dating back to a February 4, 1938, game versus St. John's.
- Duke has played at least once at MSG in nine of the last 10 seasons, in 19 of the last 21, and 22 of the last 25.
- Duke is 75-28 in 103 games all-time in the greater NYC area, including contests in Brooklyn (9-2) and East Rutherford, N.J. (21-1).
- Current MSG has seen the sixth-most Duke wins (39) of any venue in the country, behind only Cameron Indoor Stadium, Greensboro Coliseum, Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, and former Duke home venues Card Gym and Duke Gym.
- Duke is 3-0 in the Jimmy V Classic all-time, winning twice over Kentucky at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford and over Florida, on this date in 2016, at MSG.
70% Winning Percentage in NBA Arenas
- For a college team that had 25 NBA players on opening-day rosters, Duke has been tough to beat when playing in NBA venues.
- Duke is a combined 93-33 (.738) in 12 current NBA venues.
- The Blue Devils have won 22 of their last 28 at NBA venues, including a 5-1 record last season.
Tough Early Schedule for Young Blue Devils
- The Blue Devils did not shy away from a difficult early schedule in Coach Scheyer's first season, with his team of 11 newcomers and seven freshmen.
- Entering Monday, Duke's opponents have combined for a record of .685 (50-23) -- the 20th highest opponent win percentage faced by a D-I team (fourth highest by a power conference team).
- Duke has faced three AP Top 25 teams through its first 10 games and battled No. 1-ranked Houston on the road in a closed scrimmage on Oct. 29.
- With the first release of the NET on Monday, Duke ranked 17th and is 2-2 in Quad 1 games -- the second most Q1 wins and tied for the most Q1 games by any power conference team.
- Iowa marks the sixth of six consecutive power conference opponents for Duke (four of the six are ranked 31st or better in KenPom), including this stretch of three of four versus Big Ten foes.
- Entering Monday, Duke and Florida State were the only power conference teams to play 10+ games this season. Duke has had no more than three days between any game this season (average of 2.0 days between games), while Duke's opponents have averaged nearly 3.5 days before playing Duke -- including six days for each Ohio State, Iowa and Delaware.
Filipowski: ACC's First to Open Season with Four Consecutive Rookie of the Week Honors
- Freshman Kyle Filipowski, already a four-time ACC Rookie of the Week honoree, has scored in double figures every game of his college career and is leading the Blue Devils in scoring (15.2), rebounding (9.3) and steals (1.4).
- He is coming off his fifth double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the ACC opening win over Boston College -- no Division-I freshman has more double-doubles this season. In last week's Ohio State win, Filipowski scored a team-high 16 points with seven rebounds and three steals.
- In ACC history, Filipowski's four straight Rookie of the Week selections are topped only by Duke's Jabari Parker, who won it five consecutive weeks in 2013-14. Filipowski is the ACC's first player to open a season with four straight Rookie of the Week honors. Over the last 10 seasons (since 2013-14), Duke has had an ACC Rookie of the Week in 78 of a possible 157 weeks (49.7%). Twenty-two different Blue Devils have won the award at least once in that time.
- Duke leads the ACC in all-time Rookie of the Week picks with 150 -- by 54 over North Carolina (96) and 64 over Georgia Tech (86).
- Not your typical back-to-the-basket big man, the 7-foot Filipowski's 14 steals lead the team, his 13 made three-pointers are second most on the team and his .361 three-point percentage is third on the team. Nine of Flip's 14 steals have come over Duke's last four games, including a carer-high four vs. Xavier and three vs. Ohio State.
- In KenPom's formula to determine the nation's best player, Filipowski ranks seventh (as of Dec. 3). He is the only ACC player and only freshman in the top 10.
Duke's Three-Point Streak
- Duke has connected on at least one three-pointer in 1,163 straight games, the second-longest streak nationally.
- It has been more than 30 years since Duke was held without a three-point field goal -- Dec. 30, 1989, versus Hawai'i.
