Duke is back on the road for ESPN's Big Monday to battle Virginia Tech at Cassell Coliseum.
The Blue Devils, playing their first of three Saturday-Monday sets in ACC play, are coming off a 68-66 win over No. 17 Miami Saturday at Cameron Indoor, where Duke is 10-0 this season.Â
The game vs. the Hurricanes was Duke's third straight against a team that entered in first or second place in the ACC -- the Blue Devils went 2-1 in that stretch.
Freshman Kyle Filipowski, who last week was named ACC Rookie of the Week for a league-leading fifth time, has scored 63 points and grabbed 43 rebounds in posting three straight double-doubles, including a monster 28-15 effort vs. Pitt to become just the third Duke freshman all-time with at least 28-15 in a game.
Filipowski is fifth in the ACC, 29th nationally and leads all power conference freshmen in rebounds (9.5). His nine double-doubles are tied for third in the ACC and lead all D-I freshmen.
Filipowski is averaging 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in ACC play -- one of just four players averaging 15-10 in conference play.
Junior guard Jeremy Roach returned Saturday from a three-game absence (toe injury) and scored 14 points with four assists and two late steals to seal the Miami win.
Filling in for Roach, freshman guard Tyrese Proctor has scored double digits in three straight games, including a career-high 17 points at Clemson and 14 in the Pitt win.
Duke has out-rebounded 15 of its first 19 opponents and is 13-2 this season when holding an advantage on the glass. Duke is 11-2 when leading in offensive rebounding.
The ACC's best rebounding team, Duke ranks fourth nationally in rebound margin (+8.8), ninth in offensive rebounds (13.7) and 10th in rebounds per game (40.0) -- leading the conference in each category. Duke has not finished as the ACC's team leader in rebounds since 1998-99.
Duke is the nation's only team ranked inside the NCAA's top 10 for each rebound margin, offensive rebounds and total rebounds.

Freshman Kyle Filipowski recorded his third straight double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds and was 4-of-4 at the free throw line in the closing 2:05.
Duke tallied a season-high eight blocked shots, including a career-high-tying five from freshman Dereck Lively II, who also recorded his first career double-digit rebound game with 10, including a career-high six offensive boards.
The Blue Devils held the high scoring Hurricanes to 12 points below their season average, matching Miami's season-low for points with 66.

Duke is the only team ranked inside the top 10 for each rebound margin, offensive rebounds and total rebounds.
Leading the ACC in rebounding, Duke is looking to finish as the conference's leader in total rebounds per game for the first time since 1998-99.

Duke's Three-Point Streak
Duke has connected on at least one three-pointer in 1,172 straight games, the second-longest streak nationally.
It has been more than 30 years since Duke was held without a three-point field goal -- Dec. 30, 1989, versus Hawai'i.
