DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's soccer fell to San Diego, 1-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils conclude the 2024 season with an overall record of 11-4-4, while the Toreros advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
Through the first 15 minutes of action, both sides controlled possession in the midfield before
Kamran Acito registered the contest's first shot in the 19th minute. The match remained scoreless at the half, with the Toreros leading the shot totals 3-2, but Duke tallying the only shot on goal.
Early in the second half, the Blue Devils generated a flurry of shots towards the San Diego net, but Donovan Parisian stood strong, finishing the afternoon with seven saves. In the 83rd minute, the Toreros were awarded a corner kick, and Josh Martinez served a ball onto Jack Sandmeyer's head to score the match's only goal.

- Duke outshot the Toreros 12-7 in the match and led the shots on goal tallies 7-3.
- The Blue Devils fall to 11-9 in the second round in program history and 34-29-2 in 31 NCAA appearances.
