DURHAM, N.C. – Duke swimming and diving completed the two-day meet against Northwestern on Saturday morning, as the women's squad defeated the Wildcats 194-137, while the men's side fell 225.5-107.5.
NOTABLES
Duke's 200 Medley Relay team opened the scoring on day two of competition, as the group of Ali Pfaff, Kaelyn Gridley, Aleyna Ozkan, and Tatum Walltouched in first with a time of 1:36.91.
The Duke men collected second and third-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay, touching with times of 1:26.99 and 1:28.79. Jack Christian, Jack Smith, Cameron Lai-Harris, and Milo Shueassembled the team that collected a second-place mark.
In the 500 Freestyle, Audrey Portelloand Yixuan Changscored points for the Blue Devils, touching with 4:48.38 and 4:54.18 times respectively.
In the men's 500 Freestyle, Yugo Tsukikawaand Owen Markowitzfound the podium, as Tsukikawa touched with a time of 4:30.03, while Markowitz posted a time of 4:30.95.
Freshman Molly Donlanposted a time of 1:56.15 in the 200 Backstroke on Saturday, collecting a first-place finish in the event.
In the men's 200 Backstroke, Jacob Hillstouched with a time of 1:46.22, finishing second in the event for the Blue Devils.
Once again, Kaelyn Gridleyshowed her dominance in the 200 Breaststroke, touching with a time of 2:09.36 to finish first. She outpaced the second-place finisher from Northwestern by three full seconds.
On the men's side of the 200 Breaststroke, Jack Smithposted a time of 2:00.08, to finish second in the event, while Kalen Anbartouched with a time of 2:02.45 for third.
Wall and Pfaff split the podium on the 100 Freestyle, as Wall posted a time of 48.70 for first, while Pfaff touched with a time of 49.14 for third in the event.
Aleyna Ozkanand Martina Peroniposted second and third-place finishes in the 100 Butterfly, touching consecutively. Ozkan posted a time of 54.45 while Peroni touched just behind with a time of 54.69.
Yugo Tsukikawaclosed out the individual side of the meet with a second-place finish in the 400 IM, touching with a time of 3:54.76.

The Blue Devils will be back in action on Nov. 21-23, competing at the NCAA Mid-Season Invitational. The event will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center with prelims beginning at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
