NEWTON, Mass. – The seventh-ranked Duke men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Boston College on Friday, Oct. 10. The Blue Devils (7-0-5, 3-0-2 ACC) played a man up for just over 60 minutes and finished the match with the advantage in shots (20-5), shots on goal (7-1) and corner kicks (14-3) but a stout defensive effort by the hosts led to the draw.

Eryk Dymora saved the one shot he faced en route to a shutout, tallying his fifth clean sheet of the season and lowering his goals-against-average to 0.57.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ulfur Bjornsson was presented with an early scoring chance in transition, but his attempt to chip Boston College's goalkeeper fell just wide of the goal post. Duke netminder Eryk Dymora made the first save of the night, falling on a Boston College shot attempt in the middle of his goal. Â
- A diving save prevented Drew Kerr from finding the top corner of the goal off a free kick from 25 yards away, keeping the match scoreless in the 18th minute.
- Duke went up a man in the 27th minute, following a second yellow shown to the Eagles' Marci Killeen. The Blue Devils finished the first half with nine shot attempts, but all four on those that were on frame were turned aside.
- Bjornsson registered the first shot on goal in the second half but his low-driven attempt in the 60th minute was saved by the Eagles. The junior striker had another shot saved, this time a header, 90 seconds later as the match remained knotted at 0-0.
- Kamran Acito made a key defensive stop in the 70th minute, using a strong tackle to turn away a Boston College shot attempt in transition.
- Duke finished the game with a 20-5 advantage in total shots and earned 14Â corners, but Boston College made seven saves and held strong on the defensive line to force the 0-0 draw.

- Eryk Dymora made one save and logged his fifth shutout of the season.
- Ulfur Bjornsson led the team with five total shots, including three shots on goal.
- The Blue Devils remained unbeaten on the season
- Duke was held without a goal for the first time this season and for the first time during the regular season since a 0-0 draw against Wake Forest on Oct. 12, 2024.
