Blue Devils Earn Bid to NCAA Tournament, Host FDU in First Round

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's soccer was selected to the 2025 NCAA Tournament field, with an at-large bid, on Monday. The Blue Devils will host a first-round match against FDU, on Thursday, Nov. 20, with the winner advancing to play at No. 3-seed Princeton. 48 teams were selected into the single-elimination field, with the top-16 teams earning a national seed and a first-round bye.

The Blue Devils (8-3-6) are prepping for their 11th total, and fifth consecutive, NCAA Tournament under head coach John Kerr. The Blue Devils take on the Knights for just the second time in program history, with the lone meeting ending in a 2-0 Duke victory on Sept. 11, 2004, in Durham.

Duke and FDU will kickoff at 1 p.m., at Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium. Tickets for Thursday's match are available for purchase here.

Duke men's soccer is 34-29-2 (.539) all-time in the NCAA Championship, headlined by the program's national title in 1986. When playing in the first round, the Blue Devils hold a record of 13-11.

All first-round matches are played on Nov. 20, followed by all second-round matches on Sunday Nov. 23. The third round and quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 29/30 and Dec. 5/6 respectively. The 2025 NCAA College Cup is scheduled for Dec. 12-15 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
