DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's soccer tandem of
Mia Minestrella and
Kat Rader were recognized Wednesday for their efforts on the pitch and in the classroom as they were voted College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America.
The Blue Devil duo were also tabbed United Soccer Coaches All-America selections on Dec. 5. It marked the second year in a row Duke featured two or more Academic All-America honorees.
Over the history of the program, Duke has now featured nine student-athletes to be selected both All-America and Academic All-America in the same season --

Imani Dorsey (2017),
Kayla McCoy (2018),
Hannah Bebar (2024),
Maggie Graham (2024),
Leah Freeman (2024) and
Cameron Roller (2024).
A psychology major holding a 3.95 grade-point average, Rader collected an impressive all-around season for the Blue Devils. She notched 12 goals and 12 assists for 36 points. Rader started 21-of-22 matches and added four game-winning goals. A 2025 Hermann Award semifinalist, Rader ranked 20th nationally with a 1.64 points per game average and collected at least one point in 17-of-22 matches she competed in.
Minestrella is a sociology major featuring a 3.61 grade-point average. She was one of the top scorers nationally with 18 goals on the year. Minestrella, who hails from Redondo Beach, California, ranked tied for first in 2025 NCAA Tournament with six goals, led the field with three game-winning goals and ranked second with 13 points. With her 41 points, Minestrella ranked third on the Blue Devil season record charts, while also ranking third with seven game-winning goals. She ranked sixth nationally in goals (18), and ninth in points (41).
Duke is coming off reaching the 2025 NCAA College Cup under the direction of first year head coach
Kieran Hall with a 17-5-1 ledger. It marked the second year in a row the Blue Devils advanced to the NCAA College Cup.
