DURHAM, N.C.— Duke women's soccer head coach
Kieran Hall has brought in five very talented newcomers for the 2026 season. All five joined the Blue Devils in January and have been practicing with the team this spring. GoDuke.com sat down with each of the newcomers to get to know them ahead of the season.
Our fourth spotlight is
Rylee McLanahan, who is a 5-7 freshman from Edmond, Oklahoma. Ranked as the No. 6 overall recruit in the 2026 class by TopDrawerSoccer.com, McLanahan compiled very impressive numbers at Edmond North High School. She totaled 107 goals, 42 assists and 256 points in 45 matches across three seasons. McLanahan set the Oklahoma 6A single-season goal-scoring record with 43 goals as a junior to go along with 15 assists in 16 matches. She is a two-time Oklahoma Girls' Soccer Gatorade Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025.
McLanahan traveled to Portugal in 2025 and 2026 with the United States U-19 Youth National Team. Helped Solar SC club team win the 2023 ECNL National Championship and was named Player of the Match after scoring a hat trick and adding an assist in the title game. McLanahan is a ECNL All-American, three-time ECNL All-Conference selection and two-time ECNL Playoffs Best XI honoree.
