DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's soccer team placed 18 players on the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Blue Devils' 18 selections consisted of
Kamran Acito,
Trevor Burns,
Kenan Hot,
Drew Kerr,
Cameron Kerr,
Adam Luckhurst,
Ruben Mesalles,
Jose Ortega,
Colton Pleasants,
Wessel Speel,
Luke Thomas,
Niclas Wittur,
Jack Zugay,
Sol Arbib,
Ulfur Bjornsson,
Nikolai Bull Jorgensen,
Jamie Kabuusu, and
Julius Suber.
With the selections, Mesalles makes his fourth appearance on the All-ACC Academic Team, while Acito, Hot, the Kerr's and Thomas all make their third appearance.
Duke led the league with 18 total selections, followed by Louisville, Pitt, and Stanford, who each placed 15 on the Academic Team. Clemson's Jordan Gerbet was named the 2024 ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
