HOW IT HAPPENED
- Duke earned a pair of early corners, punctuated by the game's opening goal in the seventh minute, off the head of Leonardo D'Ambrosio. The goal was set up by Kenan Hot and Alessandro Arlotti, giving Hot his first point of the season and Arlotti an assist in back-to-back games.

- UC San Diego played the final 2:28 with 10 men, after a straight red card saw a Tritons player sent off.
- The Blue Devils finished the match with 22 total shots, including five on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net in the second half, finishing the evening with a 1-0 scoreline.
