HOW THEY GOT THERE
- Guttormsen cemented his spot at the NCAA Indoor Championships via a phenomenal and record-breaking performance en route to winning gold at the ACC Indoor Championships.
- The graduate student cleared bars set at 5.29m, 5.49m, 5.64m and 5.67m – the latter height locking down the win and All-ACC First Team status. Guttormsen's mark of 5.67m (18-7.25 feet) shattered both the ACC and meet records set in 2017 and improved his own school record in the process.
- Johnson punched his ticket to the national meet courtesy of his stellar showing at ACC's. The veteran claimed the first podium finish of the weekend for Duke with a runner-up finish in the men's weight throw.
- Johnson delivered a monster throw on his second attempt, launching the weight 22.93m (75-2.75 feet) for a new personal best, picking up the silver medal and All-ACC First Team recognition in the process.
