DURHAM, N.C. - Nine different Blue Devils scored as the No. 13 Duke women's lacrosse team secured a dominant 13-4 win over California in ACC action Friday night at Koskinen Stadium. Duke improves to 7-3 overall and 3-2 in ACC play, while the Golden Bears fall to 4-6 overall and 0-5 in conference competition.

Mattie Shearer and MacDonald each forced two turnovers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cal got on the scoresheet first, scoring at 13:30, but it would be its only goal of the first quarter.
- Pronti tied the game at 1-1 off a Goodwin assist with four minutes remaining in the first period and started a Blue Devil four-goal run that stretched into the second quarter. Hem found the back of the cage for the final goal of the quarter off a Pronti feed with 1:49 remaining.
- Duke extended its lead to 4-1 with a goal from Hem at 11:55 in the second quarter. Goodwin capped the four-goal run for the Blue Devils by converting her free-position shot, giving Duke a three-goal lead.
- Cal responded with a two-goal run, cutting the deficit to 4-3 with 2:06 remaining in the first half.
- The Blue Devils got the final goal of the half as Shearer found Hem, who quickly buried the ball into the back of the net.
- Duke went into halftime leading 5-3. In the first half, redshirt junior Kennedy Everson registered two saves, and the Blue Devils collectively forced six turnovers and went 8-for-9 on clear attempts.
- To start the second half, Duke went on a three-goal run, increasing its lead to 8-3. Barrett opened the scoring, slotting the ball into the back of the cage at 12:44. MacDonald scored at 8:32, and Goodwin netted one at 4:20.
- Cal scored its final goal of the game, making it 8-4 Duke, with 13 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
- Duke held the Golden Bears scoreless the entire fourth quarter and closed out the contest with five more goals.
- Not even a minute into the fourth, Barrett fed Woodworth, who slotted it into the back of the net to give Duke a 9-4 lead. Overbeck cleared the ball coast-to-coast and tallied her first career goal to make it 10-4 with 12:18 remaining.
- Biancardi scored back-to-back goals at 7:04 and 6:13, and Hunter slotted in the final goal of the game off an assist from Shearer to secure the 13-4 win.
