DURHAM, N.C. – For the fifth consecutive year and the 32nd time in program history, the No. 16 Duke men's tennis team will compete in the NCAA Team Championship, as announced Monday during the 2025 selection show.
The Blue Devils own an all-time NCAA Championship record of 52-31 and have advanced as far as the quarterfinals, reaching the round of eight in 1993, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2012 and 2013. When competing on the road, Duke boasts a 14-7 record in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
Duke posted an 18-8 record this season and is set to face No. 48 Middle Tennessee State (16-11) in the Knoxville Regional May 3 at 10 a.m. at Barksdale Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. 14th-seeded Tennessee (20-8) serves as the regional host and will face Alabama State (15-10) May 3 at 1 p.m.
The winners of the two opening-round matches will meet in the second round May 4 at 1 p.m. The second-round winner will advance to super regional play, scheduled for May 9-11. The final rounds of the tournament will be held at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, from May 16-18.
Duke and Middle Tennessee State will meet for the sixth time in program history, with the Blue Devils holding a 4-1 advantage. The teams last met during the 2024 season, when Duke earned a 4-0 victory to capture the Durham ITA Kickoff Weekend title.
