CARY, N.C. – The Duke men's tennis team concluded its time at the ITA Carolina Regional at the Cary Tennis Park. Two Blue Devils advanced to the singles main draw Round of 32 while one doubles team advanced to the main draw Round of 16.

Duke's doubles duo of
Teddy Truwit and
Alexander Visser registered a pair of wins in the main draw. The Blue Devil pair topped South Carolina's Cole Henceroth and Gabe Avram 8-5 in the opening round before an 8-4 victory versus NC Central's Leo Fortier-Gariepy and Rodrigo Alves. The Clemson pair of Henrik Bladelius and Viktor Markov ended Duke's run with an 8-2 triumph in the Round of 16.Â
Truwit represented the Blue Devils in pre-qualifying singles and dropped his opening match. In the singles main drawÂ
Dylan Long and Visser each went 1-1. Visser topped Massimo Pizzigoni of Charlotte 6-3, 6-1 before dropping a 6-3, 6-3 decision to NC State's Martin Borisiouk in the second round. Long earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory over UNC Wilmington's Brady Hussey in the first round and took a 6-2, 6-2 setback to Joaquin Guilleme of Wake Forest in the second round.
Duke returns to competition Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 when it takes part in the Wake Forest Invite.Â
