Duke, seeded seventh in the NCAA Championship, concludes its 2025 season with a 12-6 record while Georgetown improves to 12-4 and advances to the NCAA quarterfinals. Tied after three quarters, Georgetown used a 5-1 third quarter to pull away for the win.

Max Sloat with two goals apiece.

How it Happened
- The Hoyas jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes before Sloat put the Blue Devils on the board 11:59 into the contest with an unassisted tally. Duke managed just seven shots in the opening period, heading into the first break trailing 3-1.
- The second quarter was a shootout with the Blue Devils and Hoyas combining for 10 goals. Malever made it a one-goal game 1:24 into the second stanza before Carroll scored three of the game's next four goals to put Georgetown's lead back to three, 6-3. Andrew McAdorey sandwiched in his lone goal of the game in between to keep the Blue Devils within striking distance.
- Trailing by three at the midway point of the quarter, Duke caught fire and scored four of the final five goals to tie the game, 7-7 at the break. Graham Blake had a fantastic finish off a pass from Malever while Liam Kershis scored in transition to make it 6-5 Georgetown before a wild final 19 seconds.
- Johnston evened the score for the first time with 19 seconds left. Georgetown won the faceoff and scored coming out of a timeout with four seconds left. Duke wasn't done though as Cal Girard returned the favor by scooping the faceoff and sneaking a low shot past Georgetown goalie as time expired.
- The third quarter was all Hoyas as they outshot Duke 14-3 and won 6-of-7 faceoffs in the quarter en route to a 12-8 advantage with 15 minutes left to play.
- Malever scored the first goal of the final period to make it a three-goal game again, but the Hoyas' offense continued to find success with three unanswered to a 15-9 lead with 6:40 to play.
- Duke scored three of the game's final four goals but it wasn't enough as the Blue Devils ended their campaign with the four-goal setback.
- Georgetown had a narrow 45-42 advantage in shots while both teams had 34 ground balls apiece. The Hoyas were dominant at the faceoff dot, winning 21-of-31 restarts. Prince Ross was 20-of-30 at the dot and picked up nine ground balls.
