QUOTES
- "I thought it was a really good ballgame. They were able to create some separation late. I just told our guys, I know they are disappointed and I am too, but not disappointed in them, but for them. We battled back from a tough start to put ourselves into a situation for a regular season championship and a double-bye in the ACC Tournament. We ran into a good team and they played well this weekend. I am proud of our guys and thought it was a really good regular season. We had 36 wins this year, 17 in the ACC. I told them I understand there is some disappointment about today, but you put yourself in a position that you have 100% secured your spot in the NCAA Tournament, so the focus next week can be solely on winning an ACC Championship, knowing you don't have to go in there and pad your resume because your resume is already good enough. So, we will just go in on Wednesday and begin the journey to an ACC championship, knowing that on Monday afternoon, we will hear our name called and start the road to Omaha. There is a lot still to play for, and we have a lot of baseball in front of us." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his overall thoughts on the regular season.
