Big Sets for Little Hearts pledges are made based on the number of sets won by the men's and women's tennis programs. During the 2024-25 season, the two teams combined to win 824 total sets.
The women's team won the ACC regular season title and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship, before finishing with a 24-4 ledger on the year. The men's team collected a 19-9 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Championship.
If you are interested in supporting Blue Devil tennis' partnership with Duke Children's, you can pledge for each set won during the season or make a one-time donation. Pledges start at $0.10, $0.50, $1.00 and $2.50. Based on last year's results, the smallest pledged donation would be equal to $64.70. One-time donations are always welcome as well.
The Duke Children's Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center is the No. 2 ranked pediatric cardiology and heart surgery program in the United States for newborns and children with congenital and acquired heart disease. The Duke Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center strives to improve their patients' outcomes and the quality of their lives.
To be able to accomplish this, the center achieves some of the highest survival rates in the U.S. in very sick patients who require advanced, complex care. The Heart Center performed more than 450 heart operations in 2023, including significantly more complicated procedures when compared to other centers across the country. The Duke Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center was the first to successfully perform several new approaches to pediatric heart transplant surgery, including donation after cardiac death transplantation, partial heart transplantation, combination heart and thymus transplantation. They pioneered new surgical techniques that lower risk and ensure heart surgery is better tolerated by the tiniest babies.
